Illeanarama has won a TV Guide Online Video Award!
In 2004, actress Illeana Douglas created a TV pilot, Illeanarama - Supermarket of the Stars. The wry, quirky show set in a supermarket in Los Angeles has an all-star cast but had trouble finding a home on network and cable television. The producer of the show approached Zeitbyte to embark on a viral video campaign with the goal of generating interest and buzz in hopes that using Internet video would result in getting the pilot picked up for serial production. Zeitbyte took the original footage, extras, outtakes and a short film and created a series of "webisodes" that repackaged the work as a set of approximately 5 minute clips optimized for a web audience. The clips were submitted to a number of video sharing sites and packaged as an RSS feed to appeal to bloggers. Zeitbyte worked with the producers to publicize and promote the web series.
