Kevin Brail
Director of Operations
With over 15 years of media project management experience, Kevin brings extensive knowledge of Internet technologies, video production, graphic presentation, and team leadership to Zeitbyte. Kevin started his career in the late '80s working on newspaper production as the newspaper business was transitioning to a digital world. After working for several years in digital print technologies, Kevin immersed himself in all things Internet in 1996. With project and production management roles at Conde Nast Digital, Dow Jones, Reuters, and Zeitbyte, Kevin has adopted a "hands-on" approach that stresses customer service and hitting deadlines. At Zeitbyte, Kevin acts as the main client liaison, as well as the internal project manager.
Ryan Johnston
Director of Video Production
Ryan Johnston grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia, volunteering in television at age 13 and directing his first broadcast television show at 17. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in 2001, he founded Destination Video, a boutique video production company that specialized in archiving, equipment rentals, crew listings, and video production. Destination Video was acquired by Zeitbyte and incorporated into the business model in early 2011.
Melina Leon

Melina Leon is a Peruvian filmmaker based in New York City. "El Paraíso de Lili" ("Lili's Paradise"), her thesis film for Columbia University, officially premiered at the 47th New York Film Festival; in addition to having been an official selection at the Clermont Ferrand Film Festival, the film has won awards including Best Short at the São Paolo International Short Film Festival and Con Can Tokyo 2010. "Song without a Name," her first feature film (co-written with novelist Michael White), is in development with the support of European producer workshop EAVE.
Bobby Berry
Webcast Producer
Bobby’s fascination with films at an early age led him to pursue a B.F.A. in film studies at Columbia College. While attending university, Bobby wrote, directed, edited, filmed, and even animated several short films, some of which won "Best of" awards. Since graduation, Bobby has worked in a variety of genres and modalities like Hollywood films, low-budget Indie films, online digital shorts, and reality television, with his work more specifically geared toward the technical aspects of production. During his free time, Bobby enjoys dabbling in experimental cinema.
Chun Lee
Associate Producer
Chun Lee received a degree in film production from the School of Visual Arts. In 2004, he also received an M.A. in media arts from Long Island University. He has worked on numerous independent films, including commercial video releases.
Christian Baer
Assistant Editor
Christian Baer graduated from Hampshire College in 2010 with a B.A. in video production and visual philosophy. Additionally, Christian works as an administrative coordinator and media intern at two New York City non-profit organizations. A Texas native and Brooklyn transplant, Christian spends time dreaming about video art, reading comic books, and watching instructional videos on the Internet.
